Wow

We cant believe we only have two more weeks of painting our wall .time is going by so fast ,as you can see. we made a few changes and added a few more things to our wall ,but we are working more as a team than we ever have before it feels great .

Grid?

Once we saw our drawing’s final draft all the nerves built up. How were we going to put  the image up on our huge wall?

Well, our teaching artists taught us about gridding ,and now we are learing how to transfer our sketch to the wall.

The Design

 

Ya’ll are probably wondering how we got to our final sketch. We worked really hard, brainstormed and  brought our ideas together. We sketched out what we wished to see and  along  with some imput from one of our sponsors Select Ny, our teaching artists  and came up with our final design, making sure to include our visions with the communities.

To tell a story.

Starting this project three weeks ago, we didn’t have a clue what to expect .Who knew so much went into painting a picture on a wall? But its not just a picture, each drawing means something and tells a story; and we knew we had to find these stories in the community.
